Is Suzuki planning a bike in 150-180 range?

A Suzuki dealer from West Bengal, recently commented on a post of mine, and has claimed that Suzuki is planning to launch a bike in the 150-180 cc range.

Mr. Vishal Sharma, who says that he is a Suzuki dealer in West Bengal, has left this comment,

Vishal Sharma

Thanks a lot for discussing so much about Suzuki motorcycles India. Am one of the dealers of Suzuki motorcycles in West Bengal & I can tell u that surely Suzuki is planning bigger bikes in India, but the Indian Government has some norms for which the 500cc and above bikes are not allowed to import from the company directly , therefore the company is getting delayed for bigger bikes, otherwise you cud have bought a GSX 600 this April only, and on the other hand, Suzuki is going to launch a 150-180 cc bike which would be out performing every competition in its category and I as a dealer take full responsibility of my words, believe me Suzuki is the fastest growing brand in automobile right now and u will feel the magic of new technologies with in a year.

Thanks for sharing the news Mr. Vishal Sharma, I have my fingers crossed that this news is true, and I’m eagerly anticipating the bike. It would be a really exciting to see Suzuki enter the 150/180 cc segment. I hope that Suzuki does not commit mistakes that fellow Japanese manufacturers are making here in India, and gives us exactly the bike we want.
