On my regular browsing I came across this car on Autoblog.com. It’s a Crossover/CUV or as we call it here a soft roader. This is Nissan Rogue (heard the name somewhere? Yea it is an X-men character name), earlier showcased at last year’s Detroit Motor Show, and heading for production this year. The name does remind you of an X-Men character, but what’s in a name? Nissan does have names of cars that come with a pronunciation guide.
The car pits against cars like the Honda CR-V in the US, priced lesser than the CR-V and a same capacity engine on board. So I thought, while Nissan is making its mark with the Teana and the X-Trail, why can’t they get this here since it shall be shipped all assembled from Japan to the US. They can import this chic looking car just like the CR-V. I liked the design of this car.

So shouldn’t it make it to India? And in case it does, Nissan, please change the name. Don’t name the car ‘sick’ because in many Indian languages ‘Rogue’ means a disease. So think of a name before getting it to India.

I don’t think so. As it is people have way too many vehicles, and the traffic situation is horrible.
People should for a change stop accumulating metal luxuries and think about the very world they are eating away. It is time to switch over to public transport, no matter how sucky it is.

Hi Narziss,
Do you know that only 0.7 % of Indian population own a car and yet the streets are crowded, but 70% of Americans own a car, but the streets aren’t crowded like in India. The reason is that seldom people follow the laws here in India.
Moving to public transport is not th solution to traffic problems.
