The curtains are up on the much awaited car of the season, the 1 lakh car from Tata Motors called as Tata Nano. IBNLive.com has live pictures and details from The Indian Auto Expo. The car was unveiled by Ratan Tata the company’s Chairman.


The car as per the reports shall have a rear-wheel drive, two-cylinder, 624 cc, 33 bhp, MPFi petrol engine. , with 4 speed manual gearbox, no power steering, no power windows but comes with an air conditioning.
And the Price: 1 Lakh Indian Rupees
Thats for the base model, excluding taxes.
Mileage: The company claims for a 22-26 kpl mileage, for the 3 bhp 800cc engine.
The four seater shall be commercially available later this year.
Here’s an excerpt from the report,
The car will have a three-cylinder 800-cc petrol engine with 33 bhp of power. It will also have a 30-litre fuel tank and four-speed manual gearshift. The car will come with air conditioning, but will have no power steering.
The car will have front disk and rear drum brakes. The company claims mileage of 22 kmpl in city and 26 kmpl on highway.

for a long journey more safety is the most important thing so iam not satisfied about this model but for ladies for regular uses and small journeys for officials,business peoples are can be very much comfort about this model. but it is precious he knows the sole of india and the pulse of india i hopes that the next version can provide more safety .
