We all know that Mahindra had been planning a car to rival the Innova, and recent activities and readings on the auto mags have revealed that a car called Xylo from the Mahindra factories is being rolled out. The car however is marketed to be a replacement to a sedan, have a look at the teaser video here,
From the official website of Mahindra Xylo, a few sneak preview gives a brief idea on what the car could look like, for example this pic indicates that it has a wide and a large grill like the Scorpio.

So I suspect that this is the Ingenio that was supposed to be launched, and could be launched a market higher than the Scorpio or could give the luxuries of Innova at a competitive price. That shall be unveilled when the car gets launched on 13 Jan 09. I wonder where to post this blogpost, under Sedan or SUVs?

It looks like Mahindra wants to make a very strong statement about Xylo. The ad is very bold and ‘in your face.’ Mahindra is very confidently announcing the end of the era of Sedans. Xylo must be really good for Mahindra to be so confident.
