The wraps are out and the much anticipated Mahindra Xylo is launched today. The car comes with a 2.5l engine (turbocharged and CRDe variants), churning out a max power of 112bhp @ 3800 rpm and max torque of 24 kgm @ 1800-3000 rpm. The car comes in 4 variants E2, E4, E6 and E8 with the E8 being the top of the line option. The car is marketted as replacement to sedans, aiming to provide sedan like spaciosness and additional luxury features. The aim is clear, that is to provide a viable people carrier option those who cannot afford the expensive Innova, and is smartly placed as a car below the Scorpio and compete against the Sumo Grande from the Tata Motors.
